Dingoo A320

Just thought I'd give you the heads up as I know a few people were interested in them as well form my Handheld thread a few weeks back but it looks like stock is starting to filter back through now...

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DigiSpace2008

I'm waiting for offerhouse to get some again as they were selling for about £60 delivered & I cant afford the £100+ that Digispace want.
I've emailed Offerhous to ask when they might get more stock...no replay as yet fingers crossed it will be soon though.

Dealextreme have it cheaper

Still not as good as offerhouse deal from few weeks back but only a few quid dearer. Works out about £73 I think. I spotted that ebay link but the price was a bit severe. Looks like a real case of demand influencing the price as I see a lot of buzz on this on emulation sites

Yeah I saw that earlier.

Think if Offerhouse dont com through in the next few days I'm going to cave in & get it from Deal Xtreme.
Been trying to get PSP but all the reasonable priced ones get snapped up before I get chance & this looks soooo cool.
Just a shame about the small screen but I think you can plug into a telly anyway cant you??

Yep its got tv out. I have the Gemei x760 which this is based on. I got it off ebay for 62 quid couple weeks back. Its got a 3 inch screen which is slightly bigger than the a320 but only 4 buttons. The A320 has 6 buttons plus start and select. To press start or select on the Gemei you have to press power and another button together. I am not sure if the A320 runs the emus faster but even if not the Gemei really impressed me. CPS1 and 2 run great. The cps2 fighters really need those extra two buttons though. Neo Geo a bit sluggish at times but perfectly playable.

The real plus point is its such a comlete open ended package. Music, games, radio, ebook and films in a very small form factor that fits in shirt pocket. It also plays downloaded xvids perfectly without and conversion. I loaded up a couple of films, a load of mp3s and various games and just leave it in my pocket for when out and about.

For serious trips I would take a PSP though. Keep an eye on hotukdeals site cos there are always cheap PSPs knocking around. Cash generator also a good bet. The condition of them varies but you can pick one up for about 60 quid. They are usually also custom firmwared already

I am going to see if offerhouse get the A320 back in for 63 quid cos I will snap it up at that price. If not then Dealextreme it is

Update on this for soundwave or anyone elso who fancied this. Dealextreme have dropped the price to $89. They state they received it cheaper than expected. I just put an order in and with current exchange rate paid £61 delivered. This is cheaper than the offerhouse ebay deal from a few weeks back. At this price its a no brainer credit crunch or not :-)

You sir are a god

Just popping an order in myself now

Thats a bargain...will most likely cop customs I expect but even so I expect it to be worth every penny, even if it only ends up being a glorified Divx player.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Read a bit about the chip it uses. Fairly powerful RISC cpu that goes up to around 400mhz. It's tempting at that price but more and more of the SNES games I missed are coming out on the DS or being remade. Always nicer to play a proper port than emulation.

Has an impressive looking (free) silent hill type horror game available for it.

Its just such a nice form factor for on the go gaming. The Gemei I have is very small and only let down by the lack of 2 buttons. The A320 has those missing buttons and a lot better control layout. Its also very simple to get up and running compared to the PSP emus. Just drag n drop and plug and play on big screen. Its very cool to go to someones house and plug into big screen for some old school gaming. Not sure if this has been posted but some good feedback from an owner here:
