I would think decent PS1 or N64 emulation would make it a must-buy but I'd have my doubts as to the reality of that. Who knows...

Make no mistake - this machine is crafted for homebrew and emu programs. There will be dedicated games I'm sure (just as there was with the GP32) but the main focus will be home development.

The GP32 was excellent for this, the screen was nice and clear and it once you were up and running it was easy enough to get the hang of. However the stick killed the machine for me, I haven't touched it in months. I just hope the general build quality of this new console will be improved. From the photos, it looks that way.

it does look very smart, the battery indicator was lacking on the old machine so that's a plus. I believe its a similar size to the old machines. this with a 2gb mem stick

Machines fitted with lights flash when the battery is running low The current GP32 can't use larger cards because they need more voltage. I hope they fix it for the GPX2; it's a nice looking machine and the extra power should fix all the current emulation problems. If the build quality has improved, I'll grab one.

If the stick is good I will be buying one. The prospect of using perfect emu's is exciting.
