I've gone off driving games this gen. The reasons being half the games are faux sims and the other half have crappy yo, yo, yo mofo in da hood presentation. Also buying and driving a real sports car gives me experience no game can emulate.

I know what you mean. Many of the racers of the last few years have been split down the middle, you either had hardcore sim or nitrous boost boy racer. I went through years of alienation, the last great racing game for me was MSR on the Dreamcast, it felt like a different game when it became PGR and it wasn't until PGR4 that I got the same feeling again of realism crossed with arcade fun. There are still things I'd like to change but it was their best effort since MSR.

I bore easily with sim based racers and I absolutely hate the fast and furious inspired, rap filled, American street style racers.

I can still find a game or two in each genre that I can enjoy, I just think games are being released a lot more frequently than I remember and only a few stand out or appeal to me.
