Just downloaded the demo from my jp Live account for this and have been playing it a good couple of days now.The graphics are rough and so is the physics but the game is strangely compelling and addictive.
It's an interesting twist on a footy game, you only play as one player on the pitch and have to make good runs to get into good poditions etc, you can make your teammates pass to you at any time by hitting the a button for a pass, and the b button for a cross /long ball but if you are not in a good position, it's pointless doing that.
I'm going to post much more impressions when I get the full game but I am really addicted to the demo at the moment.I can't see this game making it to the west, simply because western gamers don't have the patience to play as a defender all game, or a striker feeding on scraps, waiting for that one chance to score.
It's not great by any means, but it is pretty playable and addictive and is a game footy fans should at least check out if you have access to the jp live marketplace. The demo is very limited and you can only play as Japan against England but you can see the game has tonnes of modes by the front end of it.You pick the player you want to play as obviously and you can also do all the management decisions at any time too, changing formation , making subs, etc...
Hopefully you can play with other players on live as the Ai can be a bit thick at times, and it would be nice to have elven players each playing a player over live.I have heard that buried in the japanese options somwhere is an option to play as every player on the pitch, but I'm happy to play it as the dev team meant it to be played.
Overall an average but really interesting take on the football genre.Hopefully they can iron out the faults in a sequel. As I say when I get the full game, expect more impressions.
